In or about 1500 AD Shura Shah Ji, was born in Manoharpur situated about 42 kms from Jaipur (Raj.). He was elevated as the Dewan (Prime Minister) of Manoharpur and had three sons. The three brothers were married to three sisters.In 1562 (samwat 1619) the three brothers fought bravely in the battle of Bhatner and were killed. Their bodies were brought back by on their horses back to Manoharpur where their wives committed Sati with their bodies where three chattaries were constructed. The family of Shura Shah leads to Moonalal Ji born in 1868. Moonalal Ji had 4 sons and 3 daughters – Madho Pd. Gupta his second son was born in 1894 and obtained BA degree in 1914 and LL.B degree in 1926. He practiced law at Ajmer till 1929, when he joined the Jaipur State Judicial Service as Munsif. He was honored with the title of Rao Bahadur and retired as the first Registrar of the Rajasthan High Court in 1951. M.P.Gupta had 4 sons and 3 daughters. Dwarka Prasad Gupta his third son was born in 1926 and obtined LL.B degree in 1946. He was elevated as Judge of Raj. High Court in 1973 and Chief Justice in 1986. I am the second son of Justice D.P Gupta. Shura Shah Parivar, is now spread globally.
